If there is one thing we’re passionate about, its family. Our acreage has seen our eight children grow and leave the nest and we have found so much joy in seeing them start families of their own. We continue to foster healthy family through our Marriage and Family Counseling Ministry, using our wisdom and experience to help families thrive. Our Labs and their pups are an extention of our heart for family. They are bred to be capable, kind, life partners and we couldn’t be more proud of the ways they’ve brought families together with their big hearts and joyful demeanors. They’ll win your praise through their showman, hunting, and athletic skill. But they win your heart with their fierce loyalty and unconditional love. On paper, our sweet Benelli is an AKC certified, Black, Full-Blood American Labrador Retriever. Her bloodlines hold no blemish and she has an immaculate health history.

On our acreage, Benelli is lively, loyal and intelligent. She is gentle and caring towards all our grandchildren and her pups. She is eager to please, learns and responds quickly to commands, and stays close to home even when not in a fenced area. She loves to be near us and loves walks on a leash. She barks to alert us of intruders but is otherwise quiet and calm. Its no wonder the Labrador Retriever is one of the most loved breeds. We couldn’t imagine a better companion!

MeetSelah

Selah is a beautifully conformed chocolate 100% AKC Labrador Retriever. Her bloodlines are faultless, and she bears an immaculate health history, meeting OFA standards for hips, elbows, and eyes. At three years old, she is maturing into quite a young lady, obedient and winsomely eager to please! She exudes friendliness, and demonstrates intelligence and obedience. Her first litter in the fall of 2023 was a beautiful and robust mix of black and chocolate puppies and she proved herself to be a stellar mama! Her excellent pedigree includes Master Hunters, Master National Hunters, and Field Champions, qualifying her to meet our breeding objectives without reserve.
Selah is a friend to all she meets and is a joy around children and our many horses. She is a shadow to Jim as he works the acreage and rests patiently while he attends to auto maintenance or projects in the barn. She is inquisitive and doesn’t miss anything happening around the farm. Selah is the other half of our canine family and we love her dearly!

We adopted our sweet boy in September and couldn’t be happier. Kathy was excellent to work with and we had open communication throughout the process. The puppies are well loved, socialized and are born into a safe loving environment. Our Scout was easy to train, loves to fetch, and completes our home. We couldn’t recommend more!

If you are looking for a dog that will fetch, fetch and then want to fetch some more then get one of these pups. She is by far the easiest dog I’ve had to train. She hunts amazingly and can swim forever. When she’s really tired she snores like a drunken fat man for a little bit. The kids say that she makes the house a home. We can’t imagine life without her.

Ike has been one of the most compassionate companions and he’s incredibly intelligent. As far as a hunter, I’ve yet to be disappointed with him and he’s not even a year old with over 450 birds retrieved to include ducks, geese and dove. He has one of the most gentle souls I’ve ever seen in a dog.

Homestead

Located between Lincoln and Crete, Nebraska, our 15 acre homestead is a sanctuary to all who come. It was once the playground where our eight children grew and explored and is now an adventureland for our 15 (and counting) grandchildren. The recently renovated 120 year-old farmhouse is surrounded by charming flower gardens tended by Kathy. And the newly-built garage holds Jim’s counseling office as well as his many hobbies. There is something special about this little piece of heaven and we’re blessed to be able to use the space to do the things we love.
We have been married since 1981 and have followed our faith and our hearts into many amazing ventures . Our primary vocation has been full-time ministry since 2000 in the form of music first and now counseling. We are thankful for the partnership that has created the family, home and life we have, and given us the ability to realize a dream like raising Labs.
